About BTW HeadStart
Our HeadStart initiatives seek to reach young artists at the initial stages of their career in the performing arts. Here our goal is to a) assist them in going directly to market b) prepare them to successfully enter a traditional education program or c) assist them in discovering related theatre support occupations that allow them to diversify their skill set, and thus, better able to sustain their practice d) encourage a diversity of practice that is inclusive of the diaspora aesthetic and practice.

YouthWorks Annual Training Program: Students who successfully complete the summer intensive and who the staff deems are ready for higher professional training are automatically invited into the annual program. Other applicants may apply at any time between May – August. Auditions are held in early September and the program starts shortly thereafter.
