Audition Call for Youth

Black Theatre Workshop is looking for young, motivated performers for the role of Travis in the American classic play, A Raisin in the Sun by Lorraine Hansberry.

Required:

  • Must be able to play between the ages of 10 – 12 years old
  • Must be of African decent
  • Must be a male
  • Must be able to commit to 3 weeks of rehearsals, a 2 week performance run- including a possibility of 3 matinees

Auditions will be held Sunday, September 26, 2010 ONLY

For The Audition:

Please prepare a 1 minute contemporary piece. (Nothing from the actual play Raisin in the Sun) Also be prepared for improve exercises, both solo and in groups.

Please wear comfortable clothes that you are prepared to move in.
