Black Theatre Workshop ushered in the new millenium with vitality and self assurance that marked itself consistently in each production of the decade. The two thousands also brought a concern with community projects and new genres such as poetry. There is also a concern with what it means to go back to one’s roots, as evidenced by the shows Afrika Solo, Stockholm(e), Wade in the Water and the workshop production Say Ginger Ale.
